URBAN OASIS, TN4

During the initial consultation, my client conveyed a strong desire to infuse contemporary style and lush greenery into her urban garden oasis. She emphasized the importance of creating a space that is both visually striking and practical for her busy modern family—a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life.

The design challenge lay in diverting attention away from the garden's existing aspects including the dominant presence of neighboring walls and the rooftops of three adjacent sheds.

The goal was to make the garden the focal point, elevating its appeal and intimacy while ensuring low maintenance and year-round attractiveness.

Wooden Sleepers were used to create raised beds, sandstone paving was laid in random pattern and wooden batons were affixed horizontally, to provide trellis support for plantsas well as act as a visual breaker.

ROSE & PETER, Tunbridge Wells

“We had a very small space with an odd shape and awkward levels and were at a bit of a loss as to how to deal with it.

David was a marvel in how he cleverly teased out our 'wants' and 'needs' and distilled them into a fabulous design which we instantly fell in love with.”
